A few words about our commercial policy

For a few years now we have noticed an evolution in commercial calendars: promotions are more and more frequent, without any commercial logic and we no longer really know what to trust or at what price to buy...For the sake of clarity and out of respect for our customers, we wish to have total transparency on our commercial policy and to explain to you precisely how and on what bases the commercial calendar of Bagatelle shop is defined.

In this global context of repeated sales and promotional operations, we are gradually losing the true notion of collection and creation.
Originally, sales are intended to sell less sold products so as not to keep unused stocks of merchandise. Gradually, these have become an end in themselves and for many a means of charging higher prices to compensate for increased activity during periods of discounted price promotions.
This is not our choice!

With us, as well as the policy of our brands, each of which has been chosen with care, the articles are produced and therefore offered in reasoned quantities , it is our way of preserving privileged access to them and of not multiplying promotional offers which would come to depreciate their true value.
The collections are thought out and designed by each brand with a deep attachment to the quality and workmanship of the material and we practice tariffs in line with this level of requirements.

What products are we discounting and why are we discounting them?

Each season, the brands offer new products through a collection that tells a story, inspired by artistic and human encounters. In these creations that respond to each other, some immediately win your heart, others are not so lucky. It is the latter that will be discounted, more or less depending on their success. Other products, on the other hand, will never be, these are our iconic, our timeless products, renewed from season to season.

How do our promotional offers work and who are they accessible to?

For some brands, like Sessùn for example, each season is made up of two parts. A first small "pre-collection" with pieces suitable for mid-season (delivery at the end of November for Early Spring and May for our pre-fall), then the main collection strictly speaking which arrives a few months later (between January and March for the summer collection and July and September for the winter collection).

Every 6 months, we offer our  Happy Days  which relate to a selection of articles from the pre-collections . This event is open to all and takes place during November for the pre-fall and during May for Early Spring.

A few days before the date of the official sales, we open our "Private Sales" to our customers. on a selection of pieces from current collections. To access these sales, it is imperative to be registered in our files and have a customer account beforehand .
In store, your name allows you to be found in our software and thus have access to discounts. On the website, customers registered in the file receive an email a few days before with their personal access link.
These Private Sales are designed to reward loyalty of our customers by giving them early access to the sales (stores or e-shop).
The sales are then open to all , according to the legal calendar applicable in each region.

What about "Black Friday"?

Stemming from American and Canadian cultures, Black Friday has been on our calendars for a short decade.
It represents a way of consuming in which we don't want to join . By offering significant reductions in such a punctual manner, the true value of the products is lost and the incentive is for over-consumption, often unconsidered and driven by the ephemeral. We do not wish to take part in it and will possibly offer discounts on pieces from the previous collections, and not on new items.

What do we do with our unsold items?

If the balances are not enough to completely sell the references remaining in stock, it can also happen that we offered unsold items from previous collections at preferential prices during private sales .

This desire to clarify our commercial policy is in line with our commitment to of a more responsible fashion, based on structured collections, at fair and thoughtful prices.
Also a way for us to express our gratitude to you for trust that you give us and faithfulness that you have witnessed to us since these many years .

For this summer's sales at the end of the Covid-19 crisis,

Luxembourg is the only country to maintain this date knowing that we had requested a postponement,

Even though Belgium and France have chosen to shift

Our brands are French, for the sake of consistency, I inform you that we will adapt to the "happy days" and "private sales" visible online for our brands, I will adapt to their sales discounts according to a listing of pieces communicated by them, some items will not be sold, because they will be carried over to the next collection.
